Trustees special meeting June 27, 2012

The special meeting for the 2013 Budget Hearing and other business of the Board of Township Trustees, Newbury Township, was called to order at 7:00 PM, June 27, 2012, with Mr. Quigley, Ms, Blair and Mr. Skomrock present.

Ms. Blair talked about how the numbers were arrived at, the first assumption was that Ms. Endres is moved to part-time, and two road workers are to be retired, this also has an assumption of the Road Levy not passing.

Mr. Quigley motioned to accept the budget as presented 2nd by Mr. Skomrock and a unanimous affirmative vote.

Ms. Mansfield reported that the Budget meeting at the County will be August 14, 2012 at 1:30PM.

Ms. Blair talked to MBI a company that does the billing for Fire Department runs, she will send data to them and they will make a proposal for a cost on this.

Ms. Blair talked about her meeting on the hotel, and indicated that there would be no abatement of taxes for the hotel. Instead they are going to try to get financing that is at a low rate instead of the abatement saving money on interest and not taxes.

Ms. Wishart spoke on the burial in the wrong place, the Trustees would have to decide who to contact about moving the burial, and they would either have to speak to the spouse and or the children. The Trustees agreed to ask the spouse only. She indicated that the cost would be about $500 to move the vault over to the new plot. Resolution 2012062701 to move the remains of Buford. A motion was made by Mr. Skomrock, 2nd by Ms. Blair and a unanimous affirmative vote by all.

Mr. Skomrock talked about the low bidder on the various road projects. That bidder was from Ronyak in the amount of $33,756.25 for chip seal of various roads in the township and the asphalt paving of various road in the amount of $159,880.60 motion to accept low bids by Mr. Skomrock and 2nd by Ms. Blair and a unanimous affirmative vote by all.

A motion was made to adjourn at 7:45PM by Mr. Quigley, 2nd by Mr.Skomrock and a unanimous affirmative vote by all.
