Trustees special meeting July 30, 2012

The special meeting of the Board of Township Trustees, Newbury Township, to discuss the sale of Grange park was called to order at 7:30 PM, July 30, 2012, with Mr. Quigley, Ms, Blair and Mr. Skomrock present.

Present at the meeting for the potential purchaser were Jodie Swartout, Ronald Hopkin & Jim Pracker.

Mr. Pracker presented a topo map from the county showing rivers/streams and wetlands.

Ms. Blair asked for their offer and Ms. Swartout indicated it was $156,000, with no easements to anyone.

A motion to adjourn to executive session at 7:40PM was made by Mr. Quigley, 2nd by Mr. Skomrock with a unanimous affirmative vote by all.

A motion to return to regular session at 7:52 PM was made by Mr. Quigley, 2nd by Mr. Skomrock with a unanimous affirmative vote by all. No decision was made.

Mr. Quigley indicated the Township would accept the offer of $155,200 with no additional cost to the township. He indicated that # 8 (seller paying some costs) & 9 (filling and resetting the culvert pipe) on the agreement would be off the board and the property would be sold as is.

Ms. Swartout indicated that they would like #9 to remain in the contract. They would like fill around the pipe and no headwall.

The Trustee's agreed that the Township could fill in the erosion on the upstream and reset the pipe.

Ms. Blair brought up earnest money that is refundable. Ms. Swartout agreed to $1000.00 that is refundable if they cannot get all the approvals.

A motion was made to adjourn at 8:00 PM by Mr. Skomrock, 2nd by Mr. Quigley and a unanimous affirmative vote by all.
