Ms. Mansfield reported findings on the donation from the local church.  She indicated that the American Legion was very helpful in resolving the issue of the $5,000.  She stated that the township is not allowed to solicit donations or receive donations without approval of the donation from the Geauga County Courts and these funds have not been in control of the Township except the $50,000 that has been approved by the Geauga Courts.  The American Legion willingly decided to raise the donations and then donate them to the Township for use on the park.  The American Legion so far has donated $50,000 from proceeds of the car raffle and other donations.  The remaining is accounted for either in remaining balance in their account or funds spent on invoices directly related to the park.  Everything has been clarified with the help of the American Legion.
