Sam Barnhart's Oberland Park Project

Sam Barnhart opened the Newbury Township Trustees Meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance.  Sam is on his way to becoming an Eagle Scout.  As part of his project, he built a a patio, 2 benches and installed a grill at Oberland Park.  Sam had to raise the money for his project as well as do the work. The Trustees presented Sam with a plaque for our gratitude and appreciation  for a job well done.  His parents, Gary and Judy were with him to accept the plaque.

  • Senior Housing Closer to Reality

    Newbury Township Zoning Secretary Marge Hrabak has been working  to bring affordable rental housing to the township's senior citizens.  She announced that the United States Department of Agriculture has approved funding for our program.  She is now working to find a suitable parcel for the project.

  • Geauga County Free Prescription Program

    Through a partnership between Geauga County  and ProAct a free-prescription card is being made available.   The card offers discounts for all prescription medications as well as pet medications that can be filled at a regular pharmacy.  The cards are free to residents, but can't be used in conjunction with any other type of insurance.

Kelli Hanley Potts

Kelli Hanley Potts graduated from Newbury High School in 1993. She has done it all, pantry cook, event manager, farmer to Vice President of Sales and Marketing. After moving back to Newbury, she enrolled in the Bad Girls Venture Program, and was awarded a low interest loan to start her business.

Kelli‚Äôs love of nature and passion for cooking led her to open  "The Agrarian Collective, the roots of the kitchen". Her goal is to re-connect people to the lost school of the home through canning, gardening and having a sustainable well stocked pantry.
