Historic Lecture Series: Indentured Servants of Geauga County

Wed, July 26, 20177:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Indentured servitude was a means of employment for some early pioneers.  The indentured servant would contract to work for another person (or a business), for a specified period of time, perhaps several years.  The contractor would provide accommodations for work, such as food, shelter or education, but often no wage.   Please come to learn about this practice in the early days of Geauga County.  This program will be held at the Newbury Town Hall, 14899 Auburn Road, Newbury, Ohio 44065.
